50 years ago, Rev Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated and taken from us. However, his spirit and legacy still resonate with us. He believed in fairness, equality, and service. These are three reasons why I decided to run for Hempstead Village Trustee because we have not gotten our fair share.
Hempstead, while we mourn the death of Dr. King, we also should celebrate his life by participating in service and exercising our right to vote as he fought so hard for one of the most significant pieces of legislation “The Voting Rights Act Of 1965”.
Let us find the Dr. King in ourselves. Let’s honor him by standing up to injustice and serving our community wholeheartedly.
With love & service,
Jeffery J. Daniels
